Factors affecting the quality of furniture edge banding
Common Problems and Analysis of Furniture Edge Sealing
1. When performing edge trimming procedures, the edges are prone to detachment
The glue coating is too thin;
The material is too cold or damp (especially when just glued);
If the glue line is clearly visible and displays the pattern of the glue roller, it may be because the temperature of the glue roller is too low;
The conveyor belt speed is too slow;
The temperature of the surrounding environment or materials is too low (working below 15 ° C);
Insufficient pressure.
2. The initial position and location of the edge banding are not ideal
The roller pressing wheel needs to master the skills to make adjustments, and extend the position to increase the roller pressure.
The 125px position at the beginning or end of the adhesive surface of the adhesive roller is often not ideal, because the adhesive roller at the head and tail positions is prone to insufficient pressure, and when in high-speed production, the contact between the adhesive roller and the panel is prone to jumping.
3. The effect of bonding both sides is good on one side and not good on the other
Poor contact between the panel (substrate) and the pressure wheel;
Uneven application of glue leads to glue leakage, which hinders the edge sealing process.
4. Intermittent poor adhesion condition
The liquid state of hot melt adhesive is too low in temperature;
When the edge banding machine is tuned too fast and the amount of glue applied is too high, the hot melt cylinder fails to melt the hot melt adhesive in a timely manner, resulting in uneven glue application;
The temperature of the hot melt machine is unstable.
